The start, initially scheduled at 1pm has been moved to 3pm in order to benefit from minimum wind conditions.
For this first race of the day and fifth since the beginning of the competition, the wind increased during the afternoon and went from 7 to 11 knots. In order to meet the target time (1 hour), the course was lengthened to cover a distance of 1.375 miles on the windward side.
In the lead at the finish of this first race, once again the Greek boat of Konstantinos TRIGONIS and Konstantinos KAZANTZIS. It is ahead of the French boat FRA 2 skippered by Yoann TRECUL associated with Thomas FERRAND. Arrived in third position, the German boat GER 211 skippered by the class president Jurgen JENTSCH and accompanied by Vagelis DOLIANITIS.
The second race of the day (race N degrees6), took place in increasing wind conditions which led to some drifting and abandonment so the Greek crew mentioned above. The security was on all fronts to ensure the boats could return to shore serenely. As a result, the French boat FRA 2 won after 53 minutes of sailing. It was followed by the Italian boat ITA 46, skippered by Mirco MAZZINI and Andrea Ciavatta. Another French national representative came in third. It is the boat FRA 15, crewed by William VIAUD and Honoré VALERO.
