Grand Boats Australia, a leading manufacturer of fiberglass rigid inflatable boats, has appointed Chivers Marine as its exclusive dealer for Western Australia.

An iconic name in Western Australia boating since 1958, Chivers Marine is a family-owned and operated business, located in Bibra Lake. Already the number one Yamaha dealership in Western Australia, Chivers Marine showcases key brands at its showroom including Seafarer and Surtees, and now adds Grand Boats to their selective portfolio.

Recognising the ongoing growth of rigid inflatable boats in the Australian and, in particular, Western Australian market, Luke Chivers, Managing Director, commented: "We are really excited to be partnering with Grand Boats and to be their first official dealer here in Australia. They're a really impressive brand and are certainly a product that customers here will be excited about."

"Grand Boats have a huge range of tenders and dayboats, ranging from 3 metres up to 9.5 metres. Their great build quality, performance and styling was clear to us from the offset and will appeal hugely to customers here who are looking for RIBs to cruise the waterways and venture across to the islands."

Seeing strong growth globally, Grand Boats launched in Australia last year, with their HQ and primary distribution office based on the Gold Coast. Since arriving, the brand have seen significant uptake in sales in both their tender and day boat range all across the east coast.

Dan Arscott from Grand Boats Australia said that the decision to partner with Chivers Marine was an easy one.

"We are delighted to be partnering with Luke and his team at Chivers Marine. They are an incredibly well-respected name in boating and we have been impressed by their commitment to client experience, and their unmistakable strength as a Yamaha dealer. We are extremely confident in the growth of the Grand Boats brand in Western Australia with Chivers Marine at the helm in the region."

With significant interest already in the region, Grand Boats will be available to view and order from Chivers Marine from the end of March 2025.
