The Squadron 13 Junior Prizegiving took place in the Corinthian Room of the Royal Torbay Yacht Club on Saturday 30th November.
Following another very successful and fun year the club's Junior sailors gathered with their parents and families to celebrate their sailing achievements and successes. All enjoyed a hot buffet lunch and the parents were thanked for their support and help, both on and off the water.
Prizes and trophies were presented by club Vice Commodore Bob Penfold, with the Squadron 13 Senior Instructor Ian Mills describing and commenting upon many of the achievements as the prizes were presented. The club has a long history of Junior sailing and racing, and a number of the trophies have been presented by former club Junior sailors.
Single handed sailor Nuo Davis scooped three trophies winning race series with an impressive string of results. Toby Mills and Jules Phillips also featuring strongly amongst the prizes. The most recent race day was won by one of the youngest sailors Joseph Wills.
