FC Boats becomes Fin Chaser Marine

Fish City Hamilton and FC Boats are rebranding as Fin Chaser Marine.

FC Boats has been a significant success over the last 13 years, building over 1400 new boats for happy customers. Whilst FC Boats origins are that of the retailer (Fish City), who designed and built an outstanding alloy fishing boat, FC Boats is now the main focus of the company.

Hence, the decision was made to combine the brands, and give them a name that really exemplified what we do as company. We build, retail, and service aluminium fishing boats to the highest standard, allowing our customers to chase those fins all over NZ & Australia.

Along with the intensified dedication to the Fin Chaser brand, we have made the tough decision to sell down the fishing tackle, and hunting side of the business. While it's bittersweet to see the fishing tackle department close after 32 years, the growth and excitement around Fin Chaser is palpable. Ross, Max and the team are immensely proud of Fish City's achievements and grateful for the support from the fishing community.

The team will continue to sell and service Mercury and Suzuki outboards with a full range of accessories to pimp your boat.

The team at Fin Chaser are very excited about the new changes and are looking forward to providing an indoor boat showroom with more boats and motors than ever.

New models

Fin Chaser 385 Tiller

Building on the popularity of the FC390T, the 385 aims to boast the same stability and safety, whilst offering a lighter, more economical package for those wishing to fish in harbours, lakes, or rivers.

The Fin Chaser 385T is the same hull as the 390T, however instead of welded stringers and a tread plate floor, the 385 has 6 pressed lifting strakes, offering both rigidity, as well as increased performace, it is pushed effortlessly by the Mercury 15MLH, and can take up to a 30HP 4 - Stroke. Weighing in at 150kg hull only, its extremely easy to handle.

The Fin Chaser 385T will be unveiled this weekend at THE SIKA SHOW at mystery creek.

Fin Chaser 700 Hard Top Amphibious GEN 2

The Fin Chaser 700 HTA was a roaring success, with over 20 of these impressive beasts going to homes all over the North island in the first 2 years of production. Building on what we have learnt from these boats, we are happy to release the GEN 2 700HTA.

  • Sharpened entry for a smooth ride
  • Redesigned transom area for easy access
  • Rear of hull modified to fit SEAKEEPER RIDE's - These are a game changer.
  • Latest Mercury Verado with all new Electric Steering
  • Latest Minn Kota Instinct Quest
  • Modernised upholstery

The Fin Chaser 700HTA Gen 2 is sure to be a showstopper. It will be at THE SIKA SHOW at Mystery Creek this weekend, and will be AVAILABLE FOR DEMOS in the coming weeks. Please contact if you would like more info or to arrange a demo phone 0274138885.
