The highly anticipated Caribbean Multihull Challenge returns this year with an action-packed weekend full of entertainment and sailing-fueled events.

Event-goers can look forward to the Boardwalk Jamboree, a festive gathering celebrating local music and culture, as well as fun activities for captains and crew. During the Caribbean Multihull Challenge there will be a full schedule of Multihull racing, which will give sailing enthusiasts great views all weekend long. Rally participants can also test their limits in time trials, adding an extra layer of competition for rally fans. With a variety of activities, this year's event promises something for everyone, from casual spectators to seasoned rally participants.

Brand new is on the 30th of January - the first day of the CMC Rally - entered boats will sail into Great Bay to experience a full day of activities in Philipsburg - the capital of Dutch Sint Maarten.

Activities will begin at noon with up to 12 - 24' Diam Open Trimaran Sportboats racing Grand-Prix style along the beach close to the Boardwalk with its many bars and restaurants. Next, at 3:00, activity will move to the new Beach Sports Park, where organized competitions such as a Tug O' War, Beach Volleyball, Beach Football, and more occur. Then, at 6:00 all will be treated to a formal prize-giving for winners of the day followed by a Grand Party featuring specials at all participating establishments; as well as a Parade of Carnival Dancers

At 9:00pm, CMC sailors, island residents, and visitors will be treated to a Spectacular Fireworks Show sponsored by Bobby's Marina, Dock Maarten Marina, Port St Maarten, St Maarten Tourism, and more.

CMC VII will see the second year of the innovative Time Trials for Cruising Multihulls™ where skippers in the Rally have a chance - in a safe from collisions environment - to compete in point-to-point speed sailing from one destination to the another in the Rally before heading in for the evening's festivities at one of the Rally locations.

Racing will see a repeat of the FKG Trifecta™ consisting of a big boat 60-mile Sprint around St. Barth's, a 52-mile Dash to Saba and back, and a 27-mile around SXM Circle Race. These three races plus two more will make up a full five-race schedule for CSA 1 boats; while all other classes will see a variety of racing supervised by returning Race Officer Chris Mansfield from Antigua.

And for 2025 - maxi multihulls - those 60' and longer will debut in the 2025 IMA Maxi-Multihull Caribbean Series consisting of the CMC, the RORC Caribbean 600, the 45-year-old Heineken Regatta and the Spring BVI Regatta.

Grand-Prix small-sailboat racing, long-distance big-boat racing, round the buoys racing for CSA 2, 3, and 4 classes will make for four days of hot-warm water competition for all entries. While on the Rally side, cruising multihulls will overnight in Simpson and Great Bays on the Dutch side, Anse Marcel on the French side, with an unforgettable Saturday Night in St Barth's before returning to the Sint Maarten Yacht Club for a Grand Finale Final Evening Celebration
