If growing membership and participation at your club is a priority, you're not alone. Whether you're a small community sailing club or large yacht club, finding ways to get more people out on the water, more often, can be a challenge.

To achieve your club's growth and participation goals you need an effective online way to promote your races, regattas and club, and engage your local sailing community. Like in the dating world, meeting new sailors at the bar is becoming less commonplace, with most busy sailing professionals or parents wanting to lock in a sail before heading down to the club, and a younger generation of sailors heading online to find and organise just about everything in their life.

MySail's Club Portal provides the perfect way to help your members stay connected and promote your club, races and regattas - both to your existing members as well as the broader sailing community.

As we head towards spring and (hopefully) some warmer weather, here are three free things you can do now to get your club set-up in MySail and ready for the new sailing season:

Update your club profile

The MySail club listing page provides a great free platform where sailors can find clubs in their region.

Make your club's profile stand out from the crowd - you can update your cover image, contact details, description and more in our free Club Portal.

When members register for MySail, they can add your club to their sailing profile, indicating their interest to sail at the club.

Add your races and events

The free Club Portal also allows you to upload your races, regattas and other events to MySail to showcase these on our races & events listing page.

Anyone can view this page to find upcoming races they would like to participate in, and MySail members can register their interest as crew, share that they're looking for crew, or easily add these to their personal MySail schedule.

Adding races and events is quick and easy in the Club Portal which also provides a high level of control and customisation. You can find out more about how this works here.

Promote MySail to you member base

Forget the whiteboard or spreadsheet to help your members connect; MySail provides a perfect self-service solution used by clubs across Australia and New Zealand.

The powerful MySail management features help yacht owners schedule, manage, and communicate with crew, while the crew connect features help skippers connect with sailors to fill their crewing positions.

Promoting MySail at your club is easy: you can add a signup link to your website, embed your club's crew, yacht, and race listings in your site (see example here), and share our free promotional materials. We also offer a 24x7 Help Centre and online support for members.

Click here to register for the free MySail Club Portal today. To find out more about MySail's premium offerings for club, download the MySail Club Overview.
