Excess announces the launch of the new vintage of its Excess 11, incorporating an overlapping genoa. This new feature enables the Excess 11 to offer even more sensations under sail.
With an extended sail area, this innovation brings not only more speed, but also more sailing ability in light airs, to make the most of every trip. Trimming possibilities (twist) have been improved to offer sailors optimum control, while maintaining simple, intuitive maneuvers led back to the helm.
This improvement applies to both the standard rig and the Pulse-Line version (taller mast). This new version with an overlapping genoa adds 16.5% more sail area compared to the previous version with a jib. Upwind sail area of the Pulse Line version now reaches 95.5m" (vs. 82m" with the self-tacking jib).
With a sail geometry similar to that of the Excess 14, the Excess 11 fits harmoniously into the Excess Catamarans range.
