The showers had just about died out on arrival, to leave us with a nice Blowy Westerly. No need for the big sails today and it was a decider for the next 2 sail sizes, giving us a mix for the first couple of races.

With a slight bias on the first beating leg, the far white mark just over halfway on the far bank was causing a few skippers visual problems. It was fine if there were only a couple of you rounding this windward mark, but if all 9 Skippers arrived at the same time, there was a bit of confusion for some.

After about 3 races, the moaners got their way into us extending the course to the far full length and using the top 2 red marks. There was quite a bit of mixing within the results as most were having their share of good and bad racing.

8 races sailed up to the lunch break and with the gradual increase in wind strength, the final few of B riggers abandoned to go smaller.

As usual, with the wind forever increasing in strength brought out a couple of 'D' rigs after lunch. Olly joined us for the afternoon session and didn't mind sailing the RC Laser, as midweek wind and weather wasn't as nice as today.

Most endured right until the end of the last racing at the magic 16 completed and nearly everyone had had at least one win under their belt. A good day sailing and we had remained dry, but very tired after the two and a half lake walk leg workout.

Results:

1 Peter Isles 29pts
2 Ian Sinclair 39pts
3 Eric Austwick 48pts

Course allows boats to be closer than normal and with more possible infringements The Race Team using the wind direction of SE and 8 knots speed set a narrow course with a wing mark to form the triangle for the triangle sausage format. This effectively gave two downwind legs, a reach along the leeward end of the course and two beats. Posted on 27 Feb
