ITCA (GBR) Topper Training at Hamble River Sailing Club

We were blessed with perfect weather for the ITCA (GBR) coaching day at Hamble River Sailing Club on Saturday April 20th. An ideal mix of sunshine and medium breeze!

Three coaches kept the fifteen sailors busy over two sessions afloat, initially working on boat handling in the river for the morning before going out into Southampton Water for the afternoon. Focused then shifted to starting exercises in preparation for Sunday's Topper Open.

17 youth sailors brave the uncertain forecast During the two weeks prior to Sunday 29th of September the forecast offered a variety of possible options, ranging from heavy rain with F8 gusts, to clear skies and no wind.
