The K6 Class will be represented at the prestigious Keelboat Endeavour Trophy in April, organised by the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club.
The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, home of the annual Endeavour Trophy, has arranged an inaugural Keelboat Endeavour Trophy to be raced in RCYC 707 keelboats, using the successful British Keelboat League format on 20 - 21 April.
The UK 2023 K6 Class Champion, Lawrence Crispin, will represent the Class with crew Luca Crispin, Neil Fulcher and Hector Cisneros.
The event will be a 2-day series of "round robin" short course fleet racing in 707 matched keelboats. With a target time of 15 minutes per race, the emphasis is on as many short races as quickly as possible.
Teams will switch from boat to boat and compete against each other several times to maintain a level playing field and to negate any perceived technical advantage.
This is the first time the Trophy will be completed for by keelboat classes and will crown the keelboat 'Champion of Champions'.
John Tabor, K6 Class Chairman says: "Great idea by Royal Corthinian! It's a special privilege for our Class to compete in the inaugural keelboat version of this renowned event. I'm sure Lawrence and his crew will go well."
