Bough Beech Sailing Club welcomes visitors to its major event of the year: the Icicle Open Handicap Series, held Sunday 7th January - Sunday 25th February 2024.

This race series for monohull dinghies usually attracts a large entry of around 80 boats and will consist of 16 races over 8 Sundays between 7th January and 25th February 2024 (wind permitting).

Races will be run on the "average lap" format and organised in two fleets, one for asymmetric dinghies and one for the conventional boats.

As we did last year, there will be two races back-to-back each Sunday with the start time being not before 11am. Depending on how many races are sailed, a number of discards will be allowed.

The Notice of Race can be found on the Bough Beech Sailing Club website. Visitors to Bough Beech will need to enter and pay in advance on the Bough Beech website.
