Ramsgate Week Day 4

by Sue Foster 11 Aug 2023 21:51 NZST 6-11 August 2023

After a fun evening enjoying the traditional Ramsgate Week entertainment in the Club House, our crews are blessed with another beautiful day with ideal conditions for Thursday's programme.

The IRC classes were started offshore from the Committee Boat, Cristabel, for today's QEII Cup races. These comprised two Olympic-style, windward/leeward legs.

The Cruiser classes were sent on varied courses encompassing all points of sail with a beat to the Broadstairs Knoll. The Classes 4, 5, and 6 sailed 10.42 nm and Class 7 a slightly shorter course of 9.1nm and all were seen home from the shoreside Race Hut.

With many thanks to today's racing sponsors Kent Decking Supplies, Shepherd Neame and Spinlock.
