The iconic Anglesey Offshore Dinghy Race, first run in 1965 and this year kindly supported by ContractCars.com, will be back for the 55th time on the 13th August as part of the 2023 Allen Endurance Series.
The race runs from Beaumaris to Traeth Bychan via the Menai Straits, through Puffin Island sound with a turning mark off Moelfre, a distance of over 15 nautical miles for the monohulls and up to 30 miles for cats.
It is open to monohulls with a Portsmouth Yardstick of 1142 or lower and to multihulls with a PY of 926 or lower. Frequent visitors include Olympic sailors, past and present National Champions as well as family racers from all of the local north Wales clubs.
For those wanting to make a weekend of it there will be open racing at RWBSWC on the Saturday, a social evening with live music on Saturday night (tickets will be available separately) before the endurance race on the Sunday.
