With 14 months to go until the WASZP Games hit Australian shores, preparations are under way to create one of the all-time great events.

Scheduled for December 2023 with the Australian Nationals taking place over the 7- 8th and the main event commencing from the 9th -16th of December.

The Sorrento Sailing & Couta Boat Club were an early adopter of the WASZP Class in 2017 and hosted the first ever Australian WASZP Nationals in January 2018.

Many of Australia's top WASZP sailors have cut their teeth at Sorrento and will ensure that a quality local contingent will be in attendance.

Early expectations are for around 80 Australian boats to create a solid base for the fleet and the local fleet is beginning to mobilise in strong numbers.

There has been significant interest from international sailors, with a container already in the works from NZ. There is strong talk of a North American container and we will be sending a 40ft container from our European base in Malcesine at and affordable rate.

If you are based in Europe/UK and interested in coming to Australia, please register your interest here.
