2019 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race start maxi images by Bow Caddy Media

by Bow Caddy Media (with John Curnow) 27 Dec 2019 19:04 NZDT

The clear air - a rare thing of late in Sydney - and a building Nor'easter for the Boxing Day start of the 75th Sydney to Hobart race made for some great images as the fleet left Sydney Harbour Heads and powered south down the NSW coast.

The Bow Caddy Media team was in the air to capture the action up at the front with the maxis and super maxis, after InfoTrack lead the fleet out, then Comanche took over, to hand it to Scallywag just before dawn on the 27th. As the sun gets long on the 27th, Comanche is once more in charge.
