Light winds caused a 3-hour postponement, but PRO Clinton Edwards was able to run three races in challenging conditions after the sea breeze finally materialized.

Johnathan Martinetti had a consistent day with 6, 1, & 8 finishes and now sits on first place. Day 1 leader David Hernandez had trouble figuring out the wind and current at St. Andrews Bay and dropped to 2nd place overall after scoring 12, 8, & 14. But the day belonged to reigning World Champion Alonso Collantes with 2, 10, & 1 finishes to climb to 3rd place and tie with Martin Alsogaray.

After 7 races the scores have tightened up and only 6 points separate 1st and 4th place overall. There is fierce competition among sailors from Guatemala, Ecuador, Argentina, US, Mexico, Curacao, and Puerto Rico to clinch one of the three Pan Am berths and qualify their nations to the 2019 continental games in Lima, Peru.

With only one throw-out allowed, there will be no room for mistakes on the last day of the regatta. Forecast shows promising 10-15 mph southerly breeze and competitors have hopes that the first warning will not need to be postponed.

Day 2 Results - Provisional
