Reading Sailing Club are gearing up ready to host the Leader Dinghy Class Association 2015 National Championships. With 5 races across 2 days with a moderate northerly breeze and some big gusts forecast, it is set to be a great weekend of racing.
From the local Reading SC fleet, the fastest boat is currently Nev Robson, however Newton Anthony is guest helming a Leader for the first time and could cause an upset to the results.
Travellers are coming from Norfolk and Bedfordshire and are hoping that their lack of local knowledge won't slow them down.
The Leader Dinghy is a 2 person 14' dinghy which can be sailed with either a symmetric or asymmetric spinnaker and has an active racing and cruising circuit.
Reading Sailing Club is a family sailing club located on a gravel pit alongside the River Thames and mixes great racing with training, family activities and fun.
Results from the event will be at www.readingsc.org.uk/results/leader_nats15.htm
