After 49 Lightning368's turned out for Bart's Bash last Sunday, the fleet is off to Bristol Avon this coming Saturday (27th September)as the battle for the 2014 Grand Prix series continues.
Bristol is one of the newer venues to this year's calendar and will provide a new level of unknown to the regular travelling helms.
For the third year running, a close battle is running at the top of the table - Nationals winner Richard Palmer coming good as we near the final part of the series, with Alex Baxter, Simon Hopkins and Caroline Key snapping at his newly-married heels!
With a decent home fleet at what could turn out to be one of the more 'specialist' venues that the class visits, a good result here could bring excellent rewards.
Three races are scheduled that will decide the event on Saturday and with the water so close and accessible, why not pop down and check out Lightning sailing for yourself?
Who knows, there may be a spare boat for you to try out the class as well - so bring some kit if you fancy a try out in one of these superb boats.
