For the second day in Tavira, the 225 sailors completed races 3 and 4 of the regatta. The wind was again from the South West, starting with about 10 knots and decreasing to 7 knots in the afternoon.
The boy's fleet is dominated by Greek sailors, who had an excellent performance during the afternoon, taking the first 3 places. In the girl's fleet the top spot is taken by the Italian sailor Francesca Bergamo.

There are young sailors from five Continents competing in the IODA European Championships taking place in Tavira.
The sailors have travelled a total of 102,390 miles to get to Tavira, a distance greater than the diameter of Jupiter (88,846 miles).
To join the Championship the group that came from Singapora travelled 7,329 miles, the Australian team flew 10,744 miles and finaly the New Zeeland sailors crossed 12,255 miles.
