After a week of nearly non-stop rain, the weather gods relented in time for the third running of the “Wheelbarrow” on the river Avon at Chippenham SCC. Warm sunshine and a decent Breeze welcomed the very reasonable entry.
The Club’s short Startline meant that the fleet had to be seperated in to ‘flights’. Reigning National Champion, Roger Witts, returning to the waters of his youth, then proceded to give a Masterclass to some of the less experienced local sailors. Despite winning all three races did not have it all his own way.
As is normal for these events, the day ended with a barbeque and a few bottles of wine.
