Chelmarsh Sailing Club offers a warm welcome to all sailors, would be sailors and friends.
Chelmarsh is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) the sports governing body
and is a recognised training centre with qualified instructors offering a range of courses suitable for the absolute beginner to the expert.
As a beginner you can join a learn how to sail course (you do not need to pay club fees
to join these courses). There are courses for children, adults and a youth improver scheme.
Sailing can take place whenever the rescue boat has crew. Often members e-mail each other to arrange sailing at leisure and there is a club e-newsletter where members can send out invites to sail out of racing hours.
If you have some sailing ability, you can join one of the improver courses such as the Laser race clinics (led by world Grand master Keith Wilkins and several experienced National level sailors) or join in informal learn to race events on Saturdays, the Saturday race series or the Wednesday or Sunday series.
